All inside technique
All-inside meniscal repair has gained widespread popularity over recent years. The devices and techniques have rapidly evolved, resulting in increased ease of use and reduced surgical times and risk to the neurovascular structures. All-inside techniques must continue to be compared to inside-out meniscal repair. Barber and Herbert evaluated the mechanical fixation of various meniscal devices. They found that suture-based devices had a greater pullout strength than rigid devices, and others have found they approach the strength of current suture techniques.
